Staff Members:

April Pinch-Keeler 
President & CEO

April Pinch-Keeler has been a dedicated advocate for individuals with disabilities for more than 30 years. April has worked with MVLE, Inc. for 20 years and currently serves as President & CEO.  Under her leadership, MVLE has become an industry leader and expanded operations to a social enterprise model. April forged a U.S. Department of Defense mentor-protégé agreement with Northrop Grumman to further develop MVLE’s infrastructure and ability to manage federal contracts. MVLE is the first AbilityOne provider to secure a mentor-protégé agreement and the partnership was honored with a 2013 Nunn-Perry Award for excellence. April is currently focused on building sustainability through the social enterprise model and new business initiatives and forging new partnerships to diversify revenues.

Former Speaker of the House and General Chairman of American Solutions, Newt Gingrich honored April as American Solutions’ 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year from Virginia. MVLE received the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce 2010 Corporate Citizen award. The National Association of Professional Women recognized April as Woman of the Year. April was named Elon University’s Hometown Hero in 2008 for her years of service and advocacy and MVLE now provides internship opportunities for Elon’s Leadership Fellows Group. In 2014, April was recognized by Northrop Grumman Corporation at their annual World Class Special Recognition Awards.

April currently serves as President for vaACCSES and works to keep public policy in the forefront to assert the civil rights of all people, regardless of ability, to employment and community services.

Kenan Aden 
Executive Vice President / Chief Operating Officer 

Kenan has over 16 years of experience business operations, rehabilitation programs, and employment programs for people living with disabilities. Kenan has developed and implemented infrastructure, customer service, and regulatory compliance changes that have significantly increased quality of services and program capacities at MVLE.

Michelle Lotrecchiano
Sr. Director of Program Services

Michelle has been with MVLE for 17 years. In November of 1999 she joined MVLE as a Rehabilitation Specialist for the Center-Based program, and a few years later was promoted to Asst. Director and has grown into the current position as the Sr. Director of Program Services. Michelle has a wide range of experience and knowledge that she is able to share with all the services that MVLE provides.

Bill Ahlberg
Sr. Director of Contracts

Bill joined MVLE in 2013 to assist with contract services and the Working Warrior Nation program.Prior to joining MVLE, Bill worked with Northrop Grumman Corporation for over 22 years.

Sarah Caldwell
Sr. Director of Community Relations

Sarah has over seven years of experience working in nonprofit fundraising, communications, marketing and brand development. Sarah recently completed her Masters in Public Administration, with a certificate in Nonprofit Management, from George Mason University.

Lisa Russell
Sr. Director of Administration

Lisa has more than 15 years of Human Resources experience in the private (IT /DOD) and non-for-profit sectors (Human Services). Specifically, she has a strong background in Employee Relations, Benefits and Compensation Management, Recruiting and Staffing, Policy Development, Compliance, and Business Process Improvement. Additionally, Lisa has proven experience collaborating with senior management to conduct Human Resources strategic planning in support of the organization’s mission and goals.

Angel Lugo, FACHE, Vice-Chair Chief Executive Officer at Lugo Vantage Solutions, LLC

Cathy Pennington, Treasurer- Cathy currently serves as the Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. Cathy has been a Board member since 2012. Cathy brings over 30 years of accounting experience and currently works with Renner & Company.

Karen Roberson, Secretary- has been a member of the Board of Directors since October 1998 and is presently a member of the Legislative Committee. Having a son who benefits from MVLE’s programs and services, Karen has been active in the social services field as a parent, advocate, and spokesperson for over 35 years. She brings a variety of experiences, not only as a parent, but also as a business person, to the Board.

Mitchell Cropp– President & CEO of CroppMetcalfe Services

Ken Hansen has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2001. He is currently a member of the Audit Committee, having previously served as Executive Secretary of the Board. Ken was the Chief, Investment Goods Industries Branch, Bureau of the Census, until his retirement in 2006.

John Pellegrin has been a member of the Board of Directors since the Fall of 2010 and has become actively involved with MVLE’s outreach mission and building even stronger relationships within the local, county and state-wide communities. He comes to MVLE with some 40 years’ legal experience, and is a member of other area/community Boards. These include the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce (GSCC) (Board & Past President); West Springfield Rotary Club Board/Membership Chair; Commissioner, Fairfax County Small Business Commission; and Springfield Golf & Country Club (Past President/Board). He also works with the Women’s Business Center/Community Business Partnership in its Incubator Program. John has been honored by the GSCC with its Corporate Citizen of the Year Award, Membership Award, Prism Award for Leadership, and has received a Leadership Fairfax Benchmark 500 Award.

Andre Prince– Andre, a certified CPA, has over twenty years of experience in business finance, audit, assurance, process improvement and risk mitigation. In his current role as Director, Strategy Finance and Operations with MorganFranklin Consulting, Andre focuses on evaluating strategy, finance and operational capabilities and recommending improvement initiatives and roadmaps. Lead assessments across people, process, technology, and data enablers. Implement performance improvement and cost-reduction techniques. Support the vision, integration, and realization of new operating models and initiatives. Provide program management support. Redesign performance management processes, related reporting and implement scorecards and performance metric programs.

Andre received his Bachelor of Arts, Accounting from University of Miami- School of Business, and then received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Michael E. Smith, Rear Admiral, US Navy (Ret)- Mike has over twenty years of senior executive experience building successful teams, managing transformational change and leading a range of highly technical and diverse organizations. He is a driven and collaborative executive who dedicated his career to identifying innovative and logical solutions to previously insurmountable challenges. With an Ocean Engineering degree and graduate level education in nuclear engineering, Mike spent 32 years in the U.S. Navy successfully planning, executing and leading change. In November, 2014 Mike joined Burdeshaw Associates, a premier U.S. and global consulting firm.  He was awarded the Bronze Star for action during combat, is a fellow of MIT’s Seminar XXI program and has a Master’s in International Negotiations.

Kevin Stoy Kevin is the Director of External Partnerships and Living Learning Community (LLC) Coordinator for the Honors College at George Mason University. He also teaches a leadership course each fall semester (University 333) and a research course (Honors 312) each spring. Prior to joining the Honors College team, he served as a writing instructor in Mason’s School of Business, and for five years as the marketing coordinator in Mason’s study abroad office. He is a proud alum of the University of Michigan.

Tamara Vineyard, CPA  has been a Board Member since 2015. Tamara has been a Senior Manager at Dixon Hughes Goodman and currently serves as a member of the not-for-profit industry specialization team and a member of the Government specialization team for the firm.

Brittany Wismer- Brittany has been a member of the Board of Directors since June 2010. She has been a member of the Finance and Audit committees. Brittany has experience in business development, networking, banking, customer service, and prides herself on her ability to connect people. She is a native of Northern Virginia and feels that serving her community is of great importance. Brittany is also on the board of the Tower Club’s Young Executives Society and on the Future Fund of Northern Virginia’s Grants Committee. Brittany is an alumni of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Business.
